Composition: Stakeholders from the 13 community sectors 

  • Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Feedback and Input: Provide valuable feedback on coalition strategies, projects, and activities, contributing ideas and perspectives that help shape the coalition's direction.
    • Participation in Meetings and Events: Attend meetings and events organized by the coalition, crucial for networking, learning, and participating in decision-making processes.
    • Workgroups: As an option, general members can volunteer to serve on specific working groups that focus on particular aspects of the coalition's work.
    • Resource Contribution: Contribute resources, whether financial, in-kind, or through access to networks and contacts that can benefit the coalition’s operations and strategic goals.
    • Promotion and Outreach: Help promote the coalition’s activities and achievements through various channels, expanding the coalition's reach.
    • Feedback on Impact: Assess the impact of the coalition's work and suggest changes or improvements based on observations and experiences.

Working Groups:

  • Working groups within the coalition are temporary teams formed by the Steering Committee to address specific needs that arise, leveraging the specialized skills and interests of coalition members to achieve well-defined objectives. These groups operate under a charter that outlines their scope, tasks, and duration, remaining active until their goals are met or until they are disbanded by the Steering Committee following a review of their work.
  • Composition: Working groups consist of coalition members who have the relevant expertise or a keen interest in the specific area of focus, ensuring a variety of perspectives and skills are represented.
  • Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Specialized Tasks: Each working group is tasked with specialized functions. The tasks of each working group are listed within the charter that is developed and approved by the steering committee. 
    • Duration: The active period of each working group is determined by the scope of its tasks. Groups remain active until they are formally disbanded by the steering committee.
